OSU Football Parking Passes Will Now Require Large Donation to University
New rules from Ohio State University say those with a parking pass will now be required to give a donation to the University.
“It just is getting a little bit of cost prohibitive. You do 4 tickets for the season and it gets up there," said Stew Sickles who is a Buckeye fan.
Sickles says he used to get season parking passes, but he doesn’t anymore. “That's tough. It's based on how much you give," said Sickles.
He's referring to a new requirement to snag a season parking permit. If you bought season tickets you probably got a letter from the Ohio State University Athletic department. It says starting in 2016, you’ll have to make an annual donation of at least $3,000 to the presidents club for a pass.
If your pass is closer to the stadium, you’ll have to pay even more.
Sickles says he remembers when his dad bought parking passes for next to nothing. Now he just sticks with his friends for tailgating.
