Neymar cleared to play first match of season, says Barcelona

Barcelona forward Neymar has been cleared to play his first match of the season after having recovered from the mumps.

The European champions Barcelona said in a statement that Neymar "is fit to to play" after practising for a week with the team.

The Brazil striker missed the UEFA Super Cup, both legs of the Spanish Super Cup and Barcelona's league opener, a 1-0 win at Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona hosts Malaga later on Saturday in the La Liga.
Sergio Busquets was also cleared to play after a minor injury forced his substitution at Bilbao last weekend.
